A Nigerian bride is currently crying foul after a Nigerian designer colleced N1.8 million to make the dress above. According to the bride, the designer told her the fabric and all the accessories would be shipped in from Canada. However, on getting the dress, the bride saw how ''cheap'' it looked.

The bride says she suspects that all the items used for the dress were purchased here in Nigeria. IG user, distinctive, who shared the story online, wrote

''This is the $6,473.68CAD / 1,845,000 Naira wedding dress that we were talking about the other day .
The bride said she felt the material wasn’t what was promised to be shipped from a Nigerian fashion designer who said the fabric and accessories will be shipped from Canada , the vendor also worked on the dress last minute and wanted to make another one but she refused.
1.8 million Naira, alright o, I’m waiting for someone to come and tell me the fabric was shipped from the moon and it costs 1.4 Million Naira and the sewing machine was shipped in from Turkey and it costs another 445,000 Naira , I’m waiting

Usain Bolt scores first two goals in professional football (Videos)

Usain Bolt, 32, has scored his first goals in his second trial match for a Australia's Central Coast Marinersto boost his chances of becoming a professional footballer.

The Jamaican eight-time Olympic sprint champion and world’s fastest man scored the Mariners' third and fourth goals in a 4-0 win over Macarthur South West on Friday and celebrated with his trademark lightning bolt pose.

After the match, Bolt who wore No 95 shirt, in reference to his world record time over 100m said: "Dreams become reality through hard work".

"My first start and scoring two goals, it's a good feeling, I'm happy I could come here and show the world I'm improving. I'm keen to be a Mariner, to play my best and get into the team," he added.

The 100m and 200m world record holder has previously trained with Borussia Dortmund, South African clubSundowns and Norway's Stromsgodset.

French star Kylian Mbappe, 19, reveals why he donated all his £380,000 World Cup pay to charity

France sensation, Kylian Mbappé, 19 who showed class by donating all his £380,000 World Cup pay to charity, has finally explained why he did it.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward earned global recognition for his impressive performances at the World Cup and also went ahead to play a crucial role in helping France to beat Croatia 4-2 in the final clash at the Luzhniki Stadium in July.

After the tournament, the young star donated  £380,000 World Cup pay to  Premiers de Cordee, a charity organization that gives free sports instruction to hospitalised and disabled children in sports.

On why donated his pay to the charity organisation, he told Vivienne Walt from TIME:'I did not need to be paid. I was there to defend the colors of the country.'

'Also, I earn enough money – a lot of money. So I think it is important to help those who are in need. A lot of people are suffering, a lot of people have diseases. For people like us, giving a helping hand to people is not a big thing.

'It doesn't change my life, but it changes theirs. And if it can change theirs, it is a great pleasure. 

'I gave the money to the charity where I am a sponsor [Mbappe sponsors the French charity Premiers de Cordée] because being handicapped is something difficult. Showing them that they can do sports like everyone it is something close to my heart.'

The Nigeria Police Force today paraded a 16-man kidnapping syndicate that specialize in killing their victims and selling off their vital body organs to buyers in Kogi state and other neighboring states.

Parading the suspects before newsmen in Abuja today, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Jimoh Moshood, said the police began investigation into the group's activities following repeatedly cases of abduction, killing and removal of vital body parts of victims were reported in Ankpa town and environs as well as the killing of a Police Inspector, Abdul Alfa, at Ejule Police outpost in Ofu LGA while on foot patrol on the 28th November, 2017.

According to Jimoh, the Inspector General of Police Strike Force attached to Operation Absolute Sanity, began investigating all these cases and it was discovered from information and intelligence gathered from public spirited individuals and residents, that a gang was responsible for kidnapping, gruesome murder, and ritual killings of innocent people in Kogi State, travellers passing through Kogi State and strangers coming into towns in the area.

The gang leader and the vigilante leader in Ankpa community, 39 year old, Yakubu Hamidu, confessed that himself and members of his vigilante group killed and harvested the organs of their victims. He said they killed several victims and removed their organs mostly male and female organs including other body parts such as the head, kidney, and other vital body organs.

Hamidu admitted that they were sponsored and working for one Abdulahi Ibrahim Ali a.k.a (Halims) and ALHAJI Shaibu Adamu a.k.a AYE-MARINA whom they handover the body parts to after killing their victims and severing their body organs and collecting huge sums of money in hundred thousands of Naira. Aye-Marina’s driver known as Zakaru receives the body parts from Yakubu Hamidu.

According to Jimoh, one of the buyers of the human parts, Abdulahi Ibrahim Ali a.k.a (Halims), used the proceed of crime to build and own so many properties including big hotels and several filling stations in Kogi State while his other partner, Shaibu Adamu a.k.a MARINA without known profession or any known means of livelihoo, is suspected also to have built and own mansions and four (4) filling stations in Ankpa, Kogi State and another four (4) at Onyangede in Benue State with the proceeds of the crime.

The suspects further confessed to the killings and removal of body parts of the following victims 
(i) James M (other names yet to be known)
(ii) Christopher (other names yet to be known)
(iii) Mohammed (other names yet to be known)
(iv) Small Case (Real name unknwon)
(v) Omu (other names yet to be known)
(vi) Inspector Abdul Alfa (who was ambushed and axed on his head from behind to death) by Julius Alhasan and his gang.

All the suspects have made voluntary statements to the Police Investigation Team and have confessed to the various criminal roles they played in the recent kidnapping, gruesome murder and ritual killing attacks on innocent residents and the killing of a Police Inspector, Inspr. Abdul Alfa, attached to Ejule Police Outpost, in Kogi State.

Jimoh said investigation is being concluded and efforts being intensified to arrest other suspects who include prominent personalities linked to the crime but still at large.

The suspects would be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

We had boat loads, ton loads, gigantic loads of fun at the mPulse Planet, at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos! mPulse is MTN Nigeria’s new proposition for tweens and teens aged 9 to 16 and it combines fun, learning and technology in one web-app. Saying we had lots of fun is still a gross understatement. There was fun, more food than we could possibly have and we also got to learn so much at the same time.

You see, we went to witness the launch of web-app targeted at tweens and teens that will give them the perfect environment to have fun, learn and face the future of technology. Cristiano Ronaldo releases another Statement denying Rape Accusation

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has again released a statement denying the allegations of rape made against him.

Kathryn Mayorga had recently revealed that the footballer raped her in 2009, and a settlement was signed to keep the case out of court.

Although a document from the settlement has Ronaldo admitting to the rape, quoting him as saying, “She said no and stop several times,” he has consistently denied it on his Instagram, a statement he released, and now a statement released by his lawyers.

The statement, according to The Independent, read:

Once again, for the avoidance of doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo’s position has always been, and continues to be, that what happened in 2009 in Las Vegas was completely consensual.

Cristiano Ronaldo does not deny that he agreed to enter into an agreement, but the reasons that led him to do so are at least to be distorted.

This agreement is by no means a confession of guilt. What happened was simply that Cristiano Ronaldo merely followed the advice of his advisors in order to put an end to the outrageous accusations made against him.

By 2015, dozens of entities (including law firms) in different parts of Europe were attacked and their electronic data stolen by a cyber criminal.

This hacker tried to sell such information, and a media outlet irresponsibly ended up publishing some of the stolen documents, significant parts of which were altered and / or completely fabricated.

The police in Lagos state have arrested a 22-year-old married woman, Sulyiat Badmus, for stealing her boss, Shukurat Opeoluwadu's five-month-old baby in the Odoguyan area of Ikorodu in the state on September 27th.

Parading the suspect before newsmen in the state command's headquarters today, the commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, said the suspect had applied to be an apprentice at the toddler's mother's shop. Edgals said Sulyiat whisked the baby away when she noticed the neighbor, a 50-year-old woman, whom the mother left the child with so she could go hawk the local herbs she sells, became distracted. 

“Sensing that Amosun was busy outside her room, the suspect sneaked in and stole the baby. She absconded thereafter. After directing the anti-kidnapping squad to take charge of the matter, investigation led to the arrest of the suspect at Sabo in Ikorodu. The baby was rescued from her and has been reunited with her parents. The suspect has confessed to the crime and on conclusion of investigation, all persons involved in this dastardly act will be prosecuted.“ Edgal said

When interrogated, Sulyiat said she had been married for some years now without a child of her own. According to her, a herbalist had told her she will never conceive and that led to her being desperate to have a child. She blamed the devil for her act and asked for forgiveness.

Pope Francis says having an abortion is like 'hiring a contract killer to eliminate someone'

Pope Francis, 81, has compared having an abortion to hiring a 'contract killer to eliminate someone.'

The Supreme Pontiff made the statement in an address to worshippers during his weekly audience on Saint Peter's Square in the Vatican. 

'Interrupting a pregnancy is like eliminating someone... getting rid of a human being is like resorting to a contract killer to solve a problem,' Francis said.

In his address, the Argentine pontiff complained of a 'depreciation of human life'. He cited wars, exploitation and what he called a culture of wastefulness, as well as abortion.

'How can an act that suppresses innocent life be therapeutic, civil or even human?' he asked.

This year, Pope Francis opposed a bill that would have legalized abortion in Argentina.

Real Madrid 'ready to make move' for Chelsea star Eden Hazard in January

Spanish giant, Real Madrid are ready to make Chelsea superstar, Eden Hazard their next big signing, according to Spanish media.

The Belgium playmaker who is in top form has been long admired by Los Blancos, who bought Thibaut Courtois away from Stamford Bridge in the last transfer window.

According to Marca, they will utilise the same ploy with Hazard. Dubbed 'The Hazard Plan', Real hope to exploit the Belgian's contract situation in order to get him relatively cheaply.

AS also reported that the La Liga giants have made Hazard their primary target for the winter transfer window. The Spanish publication also says that almost 85 percent of supporters want him to be signed in January.

Hazard's contract is up in the summer of 2020 and last weekend he said he is willing to open negotiations.
